Terms of Service

Effective date: March 22, 2026

We wrote this in plain English on purpose. Lawnzy is built for working lawn care professionals — not lawyers. The short version: use the app to run your business, charge your clients fairly, and we'll handle the payments. If something goes sideways, here's how we handle it.

Section 1

Who This Applies To

These Terms apply to lawn care professionals ("you", "providers") who create a Lawnzy account. Lawnzy is operated by Esemby Properties LLC ("Lawnzy", "we", "our").

By creating an account — whether through email or Sign in with Apple — you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Section 2

Who Can Use Lawnzy

To create an account you must:

Lawnzy is for legitimate lawn care and related outdoor services — mowing, trimming, landscaping, cleanups, and similar work. It is not available for any other type of business.

Section 3

Connecting Your Stripe Account

Card payments in Lawnzy are powered by Stripe Connect. During setup, you'll create a Stripe Express account linked to Lawnzy. This is required for every provider — even if you already have a separate Stripe account for your business.

Why a separate account? Lawnzy uses Stripe Connect to route payments directly from your clients to you. This requires a dedicated Express account tied to our platform so that funds flow correctly, fees are applied transparently, and payouts reach your bank. Your existing Stripe account (if any) operates independently and is not affected.

What Stripe will ask for. During setup, Stripe's secure hosted form will ask you to verify your identity (name, date of birth, last four digits of your SSN) and connect a bank account for payouts. This information goes directly to Stripe — Lawnzy never sees or stores it. Stripe uses this to comply with federal Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.

By creating a Stripe Express account through Lawnzy, you agree to the Stripe Services Agreement and the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Stripe — not Lawnzy — is responsible for verifying your identity, holding your funds, and issuing payouts to your bank account. If Stripe restricts, suspends, or holds your account or funds, that is between you and Stripe. We'll help where we can, but we don't control Stripe's decisions.

Section 4

What Lawnzy Costs

Using Lawnzy to manage your schedule and clients is free. The only fee applies when you use autopay to charge clients through the app:

Platform fee per completed job $0.49
Monthly cap per provider $49.00
When it's charged At time of transaction
How it's collected Stripe application fee (automatic)
Stripe processing fee (separate) 2.9% + $0.30 per charge

The $0.49 Lawnzy fee is deducted automatically at the time each job is charged — you never receive a separate invoice from us. The monthly cap means you will never pay more than $49 in Lawnzy fees in a single calendar month, regardless of how many jobs you complete.

Stripe's processing fee (2.9% + $0.30) is separate and goes to Stripe. You can choose whether to pass that fee to your clients or absorb it yourself using the toggle in the app.

Lawnzy fees are non-refundable. If you issue a refund to a client, the $0.49 platform fee for that job is not returned. Stripe's processing fee refund policy is governed by Stripe.

Section 5

Your Clients Are Your Clients

Lawnzy is a tool you use to run your business. Your clients are your clients — not Lawnzy's. We are a payment and scheduling platform, not a party to any agreement between you and the homeowners you serve.

You are responsible for:

Lawnzy makes no warranty — and accepts no liability — for the outcome of any lawn care job. If a homeowner is unhappy with work you did (or didn't do), that is between you and them.

Section 6

Refunds and Disputes

Refunds. You can issue a full or partial refund to any client directly through the Lawnzy app. Refunds are processed by Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days. The $0.49 Lawnzy platform fee is not refunded when you refund a client.

Chargebacks. If a client disputes a charge with their bank, Stripe manages the chargeback process and will notify you. You are responsible for responding to chargebacks with evidence of the service you provided. Lawnzy will assist where we can, but the outcome is determined by the card network — not by us.

Disputes between you and a client. Lawnzy is not an arbitrator. We will not adjudicate disagreements about whether a job was completed, whether the quality was acceptable, or whether a refund is owed. Those are business decisions between you and your client.

Accounts with excessive chargebacks (typically above 1% of transactions) may be suspended by Stripe independent of any action we take.

Section 7

How You Can (and Can't) Use Lawnzy

You can use Lawnzy for lawn care, landscaping, yard cleanup, seasonal maintenance, and similar outdoor services.

You cannot use Lawnzy to:

Stripe monitors transactions on our platform for fraud. Suspicious activity may be flagged and reported to Stripe or law enforcement regardless of any action we take.

Section 8

Closing Your Account

You can leave any time. Delete your account from Settings → Delete Account. Your personal data and client data will be removed within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for any of the following:

If we suspend your account, we'll notify you at your registered email and give you an opportunity to respond unless the issue involves fraud or immediate legal risk.

Section 9

Your Data

We collect only what we need to run the service — your account info, the client data you enter, and payment records. See our full Privacy Policy for details.

We will never sell your data or your clients' data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. This is a core commitment, not a footnote.

The client information you enter into Lawnzy is your business data. We store it to power the app — nothing else.

Section 10

Apple and the App Store

Lawnzy is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms, and Apple is not responsible for the app, its content, or any transactions you conduct through it. If you have a dispute with Apple regarding the App Store or your device, that is governed by Apple's own terms.

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's App Store terms, Apple's terms take precedence only with respect to the distribution of the app itself.

Section 11

Limitations on Our Liability

Lawnzy is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or free from interruptions.

Our total liability for any claim related to the app or these Terms is limited to the total Lawnzy platform fees you paid in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost revenue, lost clients, or any indirect or consequential damages — even if we were aware of the possibility.

Section 12

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Minor changes (typos, formatting, clarifications that don't affect your rights) may be made without notice.

Continuing to use Lawnzy after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Section 13

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes that can't be resolved informally will be handled in the courts of Texas. If a particular clause isn't enforceable in your jurisdiction, the rest of the Terms still apply.
